Chelmsford Garden Community Trust (CGCT), formally Beaulieu Community Trust, exists primarily to further or benefit the residents of Chelmsford Garden Community, and where appropriate surrounding areas, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by working with local stakeholders in a common effort to develop and maintain an all-inclusive, healthy and vibrant community.
A key role for the Trust is management of the Beaulieu Community Centre. The Trust is a tenant of Chelmsford Garden Community Council, the organisation that now holds the main 125 year building lease which was originally signed in 2018.
The community centre acts as a keystone resource to facilitate community development.
It is a valuable venue for many diverse groups that deliver a range of user-led activities creating opportunities for social, leisure and personal development.
The Trust seeks to continually maximise the public benefit of the community centre by ensuring there is ongoing improvement and diversity of the facilities and services offered.
